We are hiring: Consultancy to conduct a Sub-Regional Assessment of UNESCO Information for All Programme Priorities in Eastern Africa

The Africa Freedom of Information Centre (AFIC) is working with UNESCO under the Information for All Programme (IFAP); a unique intergovernmental program that supports the Member States to formulate information policies to build inclusive and sustainable knowledge societies. Through IFAP, member and partner governments pledge to harness opportunities offered by technology to create equitable knowledge societies.

Assessing access to information in Eastern Africa, vis-à-vis IFAP’s priority areas is crucial to understanding the effectiveness of these priority areas and where lessons can be harvested at this point to inform IFAP’s continuous commitment to enhance the right and access to information for all.

AFIC is looking for a consultant to conduct a sub-regional assessment of the six IFAP priority areas in the following 13 countries: Comoros, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Rwanda, Tanzania, Seychelles, South Sudan, Somalia, and Uganda.
