From Disclosure to Impact: Deepening and Broadening Open Contracting in Africa Project

Funded by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, this project learns from the recognition that without transparency, accountability and service delivery are challenged yet transparency on its own is not sufficient. Thus, the project aims to promote performance of public contracts in targeted sectors with a view of improving improving disclosure,  value for money, service delivery, fair business practices as well as addressing fraud, collusion and corruption in public contracting in Malawi, Kenya, Ghana, Uganda and Nigeria.

The project is being implemented by AFIC in partnership with Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition (GACC) in Ghana, International Commission of Journalists (ICJ) in Kenya, Centre for Human Rights Rehabilitation (CHRR) in Malawi, and Public and Private Development Centre (PPDC) and Media Rights Agenda (MRA) in Nigeria.
